Besides the fact that it simply hasn't been shown to increase the survival rate from cancer, a major drawback of chemotherapy is the horrific side effects. Many chemotherapy drugs work by stopping all cell division in the body. That includes healthy cells. That's why people lose their hair and become nauseated during treatment. Healthy new cells aren't replacing the old ones. It's also the reason people say, "If the cancer doesn't kill you, the treatment will." But there is a natural substance called graviola that has shown tremendous promise in the treatment of cancer. Graviola is derived from a tree that grows in the tropical areas of South America. And researchers have found that extracts from graviola seeds are able to selectively kill cancer cells, while leaving healthy cells intact. This is known as "selective cytotoxicity."
