Have you "blown out" your thyroid like Oprah?

TOTAL HEALTH BREAKTHROUGHS

Dear Total Health Breakthroughs Reader,

Please see below for a special offer from our friend, Dr. Mark Hyman.

To your best health,

Melanie Segala

_______________________________________________________________________________

As you may know, recently Oprah revealed that she has hypothyroidism.

"...going around from doctor to doctor trying to figure out what was wrong and finally figured out that I had literally sort of blew out my thyroid."

Could this have been what was causing her weight to balloon up?

This is probably the case since hypothyroidism - an under active thyroid -- can cause unexplained weight gain.

Sluggishness, exhaustion, brain fog and skin problems are also similar symptoms of a low functioning thyroid.

Oprah is not alone -- this is a condition that I see frequently in my medical practice.

It can be on of the most challenging conditions to diagnose and treat, but when I get it right, it can a dramatic affect on one's health.

Hypothyroidism in particular affects perimenopausal and menopausal women, but they sometimes have difficulty identifying the cause.

For this reason, I have spent the last 2 years documenting a 7-step plan for reversing hypothyroidism (more on that in a second), which I am making available for the first time ever today.

And judging from your many emails and comments on my recent thyroid blogs, this couldn't come too soon because you are not getting the help you should.

Here's the problem for someone who knowingly or unknowingly struggles with hypothyroidism...

Because most doctors are experts in acute illnesses, they often fail miserably when it comes to addressing subtle symptoms in your body that affect the quality of your life.

Anyone can diagnose a heart attack if they see someone who is pale, sweaty, clutching his or her chest, and complaining of crushing pain in the chest.

Thyroid problems, however, are COMPLETELY different.

Even if you have all the symptoms of low thyroid function your problem can still easily be ignored.

Why?

Well, historically this wasn't the case as doctors USED to treated thyroid diseases based on symptoms and personal exams.

Now, however, doctors rely almost completely on laboratory testing, which prevents them from diagnosing more subtle cases not detected by our conventional approach to thinking about thyroid disease.

That explains why you may still feel so BAD even when your doctor tells you your TSH levels are fine.

Consider this story.

Not surprising, one of the comments from my blog a few weeks ago came from a woman who described her symptoms of unexplained weight increase, joint inflammation, tiredness and slight depression to her doctor.

Can you guess what his response was?

He told her she was getting old (at the age of 30)!

Most doctors will shrug off symptoms like dry skin, thinning hair, sensitivities to cold, muscle soreness, decreased libido, waking up tired, constant fatigue, concentration problems, brain fog and almost impossible-to-lose pounds.

However, when I see a constellation of symptoms such as these I always think that the thyroid may play a role and I begin my detective work.

If you suffer from any of those same symptoms or have been diagnosed with a low functioning thyroid, hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's Disease, etc., then this new 7-step plan I have developed will help you design a personalized plan for fixing your broken thyroid.

Here's how it works:

First I will help you understand the things that disturb normal thyroid function.

Next, I will provide you with ways to optimize and enhance your thyroid rather than simply suppressing or managing symptoms while leaving the underlying cause untreated.

I have compiled everything that I've learned over my 20+ years practicing medicine on how to properly treat a low functioning thyroid.

I have to admit that properly diagnosing a broken thyroid can be one of the most challenging things that I do, but when I get it right, I often see dramatic positive changes in my patients.

And now this same information is available to you.

Here an example of what you'll find in this new report:

  • What the thyroid does and how it works...
  • Which tests to get to determine whether you have a problem...
  • How to address underlying issues...
  • What nutritional changes you should make to improve thyroid function...
  • Which supplements to take...
  • Five therapeutic treatments that may help you deal with the underlying causes...

- What to tell your doctor so you can get the help you need...

And because so many of you wanted something you could put quickly to use, this new report is available to you as an instant download.

P.P.S. If you've had your thyroid checked and your TSH test came back normal, you may still have a problem. Visit this page, scroll 1/3 down the page and watch my short 1 minute video where I discuss aditional tests I give when TSH comes back normal, but the symptoms still point to a thyroid problem.

  1. Hypothyroidism can be treated through bovine thyroid and cleansing of the system and adoption of a rational diet thereafter, combined with adequate rest and relaxation.
